SWAG 2026 Annual Accounting & Finance Conference

The SWAG (South Western Area Group) Annual Accounting and Finance Conference 2026 is being held at our School of Management, bringing together academics, researchers and doctoral students to explore the latest developments in accounting and finance research. This year’s theme, “AI, Ethics, and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Accounting and Finance”, reflects the growing importance of responsible innovation in the discipline, while welcoming research across all areas of accounting and finance.

The one-day, in-person conference will feature academic paper presentations, a dedicated Doctoral Colloquium, keynote presentations, and interactive discussions designed to encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
Hosted at the Bay Campus, the conference offers an excellent opportunity for doctoral students to share their work, build professional networks, and engage with colleagues from across the accounting and finance community.
